The 2007-2021 Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, and LX570 all use the same rear brake platform with a 13.58 inch rotor. Verify by measuring your removed rotor. For 2022+ Tundra (new-body 3rd generation), order the newer platform kit instead. Full brake parts collection for matching front kit.
Why the Detroit Axle Ceramic Kit
- Low-dust ceramic pads — wheels stay visibly cleaner between washes, especially on polished Tundra Platinum and Sequoia wheels
- Quiet stops — no metallic squeal from a cold-start on a winter morning
- OE-spec rotor design — blank face, no drilled or slotted pattern; pedal feels like factory day one
- 10-year manufacturer warranty — Detroit Axle covers the kit against manufacturing defect for a full decade
- Cost effective vs Toyota / Lexus dealer parts — the whole rear kit costs less than a single dealer rotor
- Right choice for daily-driver Tundra / Sequoia that spends its day on the highway, not the track
Install Notes
- Verify your rotor diameter is 13.58 inch (345 mm) BEFORE removing your old parts
- Torque rear caliper bracket bolts per Tundra / Sequoia service spec for your specific generation
- Silicone brake grease on abutment clip contact points and slider pins - not chassis grease
- Retract the rear caliper piston with a wind-back tool - the Tundra rear caliper uses a threaded piston, not push-in
- Bed ceramic pads properly: 8-10 medium stops from 40 to 10 mph, then 2-3 harder stops from 60 to 15 mph, then let cool without holding the pedal at a light
- Replace both left and right pads at the same time
