On a 2023-2024 Acura Integra, the number that decides whether a rotor stays or goes is the minimum (discard) thickness cast or stamped into the rotor itself, and that limit sits below the new-rotor thickness Acura publishes: 0.82 in. front and 0.30 in. rear on the Integra and A-Spec, and 1.05 in. front and 0.36 in. rear on the Type S. Measure with a micrometer at several points; if any reading is at or under the stamped limit, or the rotor cannot be machined true without going under it, replace the rotor.
Below is what Acura publishes for each trim, how to read and measure the limit correctly, and the signs that tell you the rotors are done before you ever pull a wheel.
Integra Rotor Sizes by Trim
Every 2023-2024 Integra uses four-wheel disc brakes: a ventilated rotor up front and a solid (single-plate) rotor in the rear. The Type S, added for 2024, carries larger rotors on both axles and Brembo four-piston aluminum front calipers. Acura's own specification sheets list these figures:
| Trim | Front rotor (diameter / new thickness) | Rear rotor (diameter / new thickness) | Front caliper |
|---|---|---|---|
| Integra, A-Spec, A-Spec Technology (2023-2024) | 12.3 in. ventilated / 0.82 in. | 11.1 in. solid / 0.30 in. | Standard (non-Brembo) |
| Integra Type S (2024) | 13.8 in. ventilated / 1.05 in. | 12.0 in. solid / 0.36 in. | Brembo 4-piston aluminum |
The 12.3 in. front and 11.1 in. rear sizes work out to roughly 312 mm and 282 mm, which is why parts for the standard Integra are often listed by millimeter size and shared with the current Civic Si. A Type S rotor will not fit a standard Integra, and the reverse is also true, so confirm your trim before ordering.
Where to Find the Minimum Thickness
Acura's public spec sheets give new-rotor thickness, not the discard limit. The discard figure lives in two places:
- On the rotor. Most rotors have the minimum thickness cast into the hat or the edge, often marked "MIN TH" followed by a millimeter value. Aftermarket rotors frequently laser-etch it on the side. Clean the rust and dust off before reading it.
- In the factory service information for your exact trim. This is the figure a shop will go by, and it is the one to trust over any generic chart.
Expect some disagreement between sources. As one example, a replacement rear rotor sold for the 2023-2026 Integra Base and A-Spec is listed at 10 mm new with an 8 mm minimum, while Acura's spec sheet lists the rear disc at 0.30 in. (about 7.6 mm). Numbers like that do not line up, which is exactly why the limit stamped on the rotor you are actually holding is the one that counts. Do not carry a minimum from one brand's rotor over to a different rotor.
Also note that the discard limit is not the same as the machine-to limit. A rotor must have enough material left after resurfacing to stay above minimum, so a rotor sitting just above the stamp is not a resurfacing candidate.
How to Measure Integra Rotors Correctly
- Safely lift and support the car and remove the wheel. On the rear, the Integra uses an Electronic Parking Brake with Automatic Brake Hold on every trim, so turn Brake Hold off and follow the service procedure for the electronic parking brake before you touch rear caliper pistons.
- Inspect both faces for cracks, heat spots, deep scoring and a raised lip at the outer edge. A heavy lip means a lot of wear and also means a straightedge or caliper will read high, so measure inside the swept area.
- Measure thickness with an outside micrometer at no fewer than six evenly spaced spots around the rotor, about half an inch in from the outer edge. Write each number down.
- Compare the lowest reading to the stamped minimum. At or below it, the rotor is scrap.
- Compare the highest and lowest readings. Thickness variation (parallelism) should be very small; a common guideline is between 0.001 in. and 0.003 in. More than that is the usual cause of a pulsing pedal.
- If the pedal pulses, check lateral runout with a dial indicator after torquing the rotor down with the lug nuts. For most cars the limit is 0.002 in. or less; use the factory figure for your trim.
Signs Your Integra Rotors Need Replacing
- Pulsation in the brake pedal or steering wheel when stopping from highway speed, which usually points to thickness variation in the front rotors.
- A deep lip you can catch with a fingernail at the outer edge, or grooves you can see across the face.
- Blue or dark heat spots, or any crack. Cracked rotors are replaced, never machined.
- Pads worn to the wear indicator with rotors already near the limit. New pads on a thin, uneven rotor wear fast and often squeal.
- A thin rear rotor. The Integra's solid rear disc starts out thin, so there is little material to lose. Measure the rears every time you service the brakes.
What to Replace at the Same Time
Rotors and pads are a set. Fit new pads whenever you fit new rotors, and replace rotors in axle pairs so the car stops straight. On the front, clean and lubricate the caliper slide pins and replace the pad abutment clips; a brake hardware kit covers them. On the rear, the same applies, with the extra step of retracting the electronic parking brake properly.
For the standard Integra and A-Spec, start with our 2023-2024 Acura Integra rear ceramic brake pads and match them to rotors from our brake rotor collection. If you only need pads up front, browse ceramic brake pads for a quiet, low-dust daily-driver compound. Type S owners should confirm the Brembo-caliper fitment before buying anything.
How Hard Is the Job?
Front rotors on the standard Integra are a straightforward driveway job for someone with basic tools, a torque wrench and a micrometer: caliper off, bracket off, rotor off, clean the hub face, reassemble. Rear rotors add the electronic parking brake step, which is where most DIY problems on newer cars start. Torque caliper bracket bolts and lug nuts to the factory service values, pump the pedal before moving the car, and bed in the new pads with a series of moderate stops before any hard braking.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum rotor thickness on a 2023 Acura Integra?
Use the value cast or stamped on the rotor and confirmed in the factory service information for your trim. Acura publishes new thickness as 0.82 in. front and 0.30 in. rear for the standard Integra; the discard limit is below that, and aftermarket rotors list their own minimum, which can differ from the factory part.
Can Integra rotors be resurfaced?
Only if they are uncracked and still well above minimum after the cut. The thin solid rear rotors rarely have enough material to spare, so replacement is usually the better call there.
Are Integra and Integra Type S rotors the same?
No. The Type S uses 13.8 in. front and 12.0 in. rear rotors with Brembo four-piston front calipers, while the Integra and A-Spec use 12.3 in. front and 11.1 in. rear. They are not interchangeable.
Do I need to replace rotors every time I change pads?
Not automatically. Measure them. If they are above minimum, flat, uncracked and within thickness-variation limits, they can stay. If they are close to the limit, replacing them with the pads saves a second job later.
Why does my Integra pedal pulse after new pads?
Usually thickness variation or runout in the rotors, often from rust or debris between the rotor and hub, or uneven lug-nut torque. Clean the hub face, torque the wheels evenly to spec and recheck runout.
