Stainless steel braided front brake lines for 2009-2018 Ford F-150 2WD trucks running 4 inch to 4.5 inch lift spindles. Extended 20 inch length replaces the stock rubber lines that are too short once you lift the truck. Includes hardware. 2015-2018 F-150 must use the provided thread adapter.

Specifications

  • Length: Approximately 20 inches (extended for lift spindle clearance)
  • Construction: Stainless steel outer braid, PTFE inner line
  • Position: Front (pair - driver and passenger)
  • Package: 1 set of stainless steel braided front brake lines + install hardware

Fitment

  • Ford F-150 2WD 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014
  • Ford F-150 2WD 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 (thread adapter required, included in kit)
  • Required lift spindle range: 4 inch to 4.5 inch

These are lift-specific brake lines. If your F-150 is on stock height suspension, standard-length rubber or stainless lines are the correct part - not these. If you are running a leveling kit or under 4 inch lift, verify stock line length is adequate before ordering. Full brake parts collection for stock-height replacement lines.

Why Stainless Braided

  • Firm pedal feel - stainless outer sleeve prevents the rubber-line balloon effect under hard braking, giving more direct pedal response
  • Higher burst pressure - important on a lifted truck where more mechanical leverage means more pedal force at the caliper
  • Corrosion resistance - the PTFE liner does not degrade like rubber over 5-10 year exposure to brake fluid moisture
  • DOT compliant when installed correctly - matches the SAE and DOT hydraulic hose specification

Install Notes

  • Bleed the entire brake system after install - starting at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder
  • Torque the banjo fitting on the caliper to the manufacturer spec - typically 20-30 ft-lb
  • Route away from the tire, control arms, and any suspension travel path - a rubbing line will fail catastrophically
  • Use fresh copper crush washers on every banjo joint - do not re-use old washers
  • 2015-2018 F-150 requires the included thread adapter at the master cylinder or hard-line junction
