The slots clear dirt, dust and debris from the braking zone and help heat escape, and they keep the pad wearing flat and parallel rather than cutting the grooves a plain disc can develop over time. Every rotor is OE-spec grey cast iron, checked for element analysis, grain structure, tensile strength and hardness, and runout tested piece by piece before it ships, so the set installs true and brakes smoothly on a car this age.

Position: rear axle

Type: 3GD Series sport slotted rotor set

Wide three-slot venting for cooler running

Sweeps dirt, dust and debris out of the braking zone

Reduces brake fade under load and at speed

Anodized finish for corrosion protection

OE-spec grey cast iron, runout tested

Fitment: 1986-1993 Volkswagen Cabriolet 1.8.
